Support for Families Facing Cancer
Finding the right support can make a difficult season feel a little less overwhelming. These organizations and resources may help families preserve meaningful stories, receive practical assistance, and talk with children about complicated emotions.
PRESERVING STORIES & MEMORIES
Amadora Legacy Project helps people living with life-limiting illnesses capture their stories, memories, values, and words of wisdom in professionally created legacy videos.
Through a guided and compassionate process, participants can create a lasting gift of love that their families may return to for generations. Services are provided at no cost to eligible participants.

HELPING CHILDREN UNDERSTAND THEIR FEELINGS
Feelings Are Like Farts, written by Christopher Willard and Tara Wosiski and illustrated by Toshiki Nakamura, uses humor to help children understand that emotions are a natural part of life.
The book encourages children to recognize, accept, and express their feelings without shame - even when those feelings are inconvenient, surprising, or difficult. The publisher recommends it for children ages 4–8.
