OUR MISSION
The Handle Hard Better Foundation honors the life and legacy of Cory Wiederin - the true Handle Hard Better Champion.
Our mission is to support families in which a parent has been diagnosed with Stage 3 or 4 cancer and children under the age of 18 live in the home.
Through HHB Gifts, we help relieve some of the of the financial and emotional weight families carry so they can be intentional with their time, create meaningful memories, and make memories together.

WHO WE SERVE
The foundation supports Iowa families who are navigating a parent’s Stage 3 & 4 cancer diagnosis while raising children under the age of 18.
We understand that every family’s circumstances are different. Their needs, challenges, and ways of handling hard may look different, too.
What these families share is the need for time, connection, support, and a community willing to remind them that they are not alone.

WHAT IS A HHB GIFT?
An HHB Gift is a meaningful expression of support created around the needs of a family.
Depending on available resources and the family’s circumstances, support may include:
A financial gift to help relieve immediate stress and create intentional memories
Thoughtfully prepared HHB boxes
The purpose of every HHB Gift is simple: to allow families to be intentional and to create memories together when it matters most.

Handling hard better does not mean doing everything alone.
Sometimes it means accepting help. Sometimes it means allowing a community to step in and carry part of the weight. Sometimes it means finding one meaningful moment in the middle of an unimaginable season.
